UGCC achieved international recognition for its health and safety programme (HSE) by completing OHSAS 18001:2007 certification in Occupational Health & Safety. Our commitment towards our employees’ well-being and prevention of accidents is summarized by UGCC’s primary safety rule governed by Zero Accidents.
Our personnel continuously inspect changing workplace conditions to address hazards and minimise any potential risks. This policy not only enhances the safety of our work crews, it also reduces injury related downtime and maintains reduced rates of materials damage.

UGCC aims to develop and maintain health, safety and environmental guidelines and high standard with the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
ISO 14001
In 2012, UGCC first achieved ISO 14001 for Environmental Management System (EMS) as a part of its management system to manage environmental aspects, and to fulfill environmental compliance obligations. UGCC maintains the ISO 14001 certification.
UGCC recognises that its work operations may have an impact on the environment in a number of ways and UGCC is committed to reduce or eliminate that impact through a sustained effort on maintaining and improving in our environmental performance.

Environmental Performance
UGCC manages its environmental performance through ISO certified Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 specifically to the aspects related to the construction industry activities, ensuring that its construction operations are carefully monitored, measured and controlled continuously to manage and improve its environmental performance.
