In 2004, UGCC first achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification for its Quality Management System and currently, UGCC maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The ISO 17025 accreditation is intended for performing laboratory testing and laboratory equipment calibration, and for laboratories where testing and calibration forms part of inspection and product certification.
The UGCC Central Testing Laboratory conforms with ISO 17025:2017 standard for testing and calibration laboratories, and provides stringent testing services as per international standards- BS, ASTM, and AASHTO, using fully calibrated state-of-the-art testing instruments with valid calibration certificates.
Competence
ISO 17025 accreditation is an industrial standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, notably for management requirements for its operation and effectiveness of the quality management system within the laboratory and technical requirements related to the competence of staff and calibration of equipment.
